School Improvement Plan
2024-25
Goal 1
Improve English scores for students with disabilities (SWD) from 72.95% in the 2023/2024 school year to 75% in the 2024/2025 school year, as reported by the SOLs and state achievement gap data, by addressing deficiencies in fluency, accuracy, and comprehension.
Goal 2
Increase the Functions of Algebra (FOA) 7 pass rates from 64% in the 2023/2024 school year to 70% in the 2024/2025 school year by addressing specific student deficits through small-group instructional support.
Goal 3
By the end of the 2024/2025 school year, reduce staffing changes in high-need content areas to be no more than 10% by implementing targeted staff development programs to improve retention and creating recruitment strategies that attract highly qualified applicants, as measured by annual staffing reports and exit surveys. Ten percent is less than the 16% teacher turnover rate reported by the National Center for Education Statistics for the 21-22 school year.
Goal 4
By the end of the 2024/2025 school year, establish a consistent structure for weak PLC teams across all grade levels and content areas to enhance pacing, instructional planning, data analysis, and intervention planning. Success will be measured by the implementation of a standardized PLC protocol, 90% participation in weekly collaborative meetings, and demonstrated improvement in student achievement data as evidenced by quarterly assessments and intervention outcomes.
Goal 5
By the end of the 2024/2025 school year, reduce the student chronic absenteeism rate from 10.45% to below 8%.
Goal 6
Decrease the number of students with disciplinary incidents by 10% to less than 135. This will be achieved through targeted attendance interventions, behavior support strategies, and the implementation of restorative practices, with progress measured quarterly through attendance and discipline data reviews.
